Heritage MulitMedia and more

Dear Friends,
It is here! Hurray! After some delays, the Heritage MultiMedia is here. We spent days getting all of our orders shipped. What a great feeling it was to see the last packages get on their way! Our postman was glad as well. He picked up lots of packages.

David and Mark came to the house to pick up their order. They left behind business cards, HMM Hats and an HMM mouse pad. David even had a sign for the side of his van. They have great photos posted at their blog site. See my gifts:

Blake and Georgia Dawbon came down to pick up their order. They brought their kids for a fun trip to Pennsylvania. Yup, at that age, helping Mom and Dad shrink wrap, laminate and load the car is still fun. hmmm Perhaps it was the 25 foot bamboo fishing rod Hale cut from our yard that made the weekend worth while.

Ah! Those were the days. Our kids no longer run to the family room for this type of fun family activity. We now have to use food, money and movies.

Georgia took lots of pictures of her family. David Vernon has pictures up as well. Here is the blog link: http://jansenarteducation.com/Blogs.html

The HMM sets are in use. The HMM set is designed to get you started, answer questions and help you make your favorite mixes. We have gotten lots of good emails from you all about the paint, dvd and mixing card. Thank you.

Many of you have written about painting with them. There are several artists publishing with the HMM. DVDs, packets and magazine articles are available. There are more coming out. Please check the websites of all of our Heritage Designers and Friends (http://jansenarteducation.com/WebRing.html). Hazel is releasing her dvd, Georgia has postings on You Tube, Paul and Cathy are always working on articles and more. And David has just announced two more DVD sets using HMM. He tells me photos of the pieces will be posted soon: www.JansenArtStudio.com

With David's specification, we have added brushes to our acrylic brush line. The bristles are great for the Direct Painting techniques. The base coating brush is due to come in this week. It is beautiful! Wait until you try it! You will be thrilled and amazed. You can see them all at: www.JansenOnlineStore.com

The sites have been updated. You can order individual colors and the HMM set. Replace colors as you need them or get the set. The new brushes are listed as well. And we just got word: The mediums and the rest of the color line will be here in about 60 days!

Remember the Heritage MulitMedia is compatible with JansenArt paint line. You can keep painting nonstop! We will keep you up to date about the rest of the line.

Thanks!
Sincerely,
Martha

Home from HOOT

Dear Friends,
I am amazed how much time has passed since I last updated this blog. I am sorry for the absence. I am back. Thank you to all of you who have been patient with me. David and Mark, thank you for the gentle nudges.

Much has happened since I last posted. Here is a quick review:
We have six Global Art Offices around the world: Australia, Taiwan, Canada, Europe, Japan, US and Korea.

Testing on the first 13 colors has been completed. We have placed our initial order. We expect it to be delivered to each office by October. I will keep you up to date.

I am taking preorders for the 12 color set and Gold. You can complete an interest form on GlobalArtSupply.com. I will contact you for additional order and payment information when we are ready to ship.

We are now home from HOOT. Held in Columbus, OH, it was a great show. Well run with lots of classses and exhibitors. If you could not make it this year, try to come next year. You will love it as much as we do.

This year I took out a booth for Global Art Supply. I wanted to let people know the HMM was on its way as well as promote education and learning. The Seymours and Dawbons came into the show to do make-it-take-its. They helped me set up the booth with free online education items. We also set up sample boards from the Heritage Education Program.

We had a beautiful flyer made up that listed all of the products from Global Art Supply: Heritage MultiMedia, Global Palettes and brushes. Additional flyers were made to about the free online education classes and the forum. I lost count how many we handed out. I am just glad I brought a lot.

We met several beginning painters. Paul and Cathy had them lining up to take the MITIs. They were very interested in the educational opportunities. And as they left the table, I heard several say "Look what I did!" Several shop owners and teachers stopped by. They are eager to have the new HMM to offer to their students and customers. Very successful show.

Regarding the new brushes; I spoke with our manufacturer at HOOT. We will have new brush samples in a few weeks. I have decided to use the standard handle length. Too many stories about near misses with the longer handles. I think you will be pleased.

Talk with you again soon.
Sincerely,
Martha

Mini Update

Dear Friends,
So many things are happening. It is time for a mini update. Where do I start? My last post told you we had created an office in Japan and the Japanese distributors are anxiously awaiting for our first shipments. After discussions and planning, we have now confirmed Global Art Supply offices for Canada, Taiwan and France. This is exciting. This means we will be able to focus our attentions on the needs of artists of each country.

Often it is more than just language that creates differences in the artistic world of different countries. Interests, abilities, and concerns can be vastly different. By establishing offices in each country, we are better able to be the flexible and responsive company we desire to be.
With the assistance of our International artistic community, we will be able to tailor education, products and services to meet the needs of each community. And we will be able to bring into each country products in a timely fashion at the lowest prices possible.

We are working to ensure Heritage MultiMedia and other decorative art products are available to as many areas as possible.
We are well on our way. Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Martha

News from Japan

Dear Friends,

Over the past 10 days, great things have happened. I have been contacted by several new distributors who are interested in the new Heritage MultiMedia acrylic paint.

With each meeting, I explain how Global Art Supply will transition artists to Heritage MulitMedia without changes in technique or education. The distributors were very please to learn Global Art Supply is holding to high performance and quality standards. Many already knew of Matisse Derivan and their great performance in these areas.

We have confirmed distribution in US, Canada, Austalia, Europe, Taiwan, Japan and Korea with more companies to be contacted. Due to the great response here in Japan, we have decided to open an office: Global Art Supply-Japan! Being half way around the world, we feel this office will help us be responsive and meet the needs of our Asian clients.

This is wonderful. With the new educational programs coming, Heritage MultiMedia is perfectly placed, ready for the student, teacher and designer.

Testing is almost finished. We are still keeping our original release date of this summer. There are designers and teachers who are working on designs and education that will use a limited 12 color palette. Our goal is to help you transition to the Heritage MultiMedia acrylic paint using your favorite colors and techniques.

Thank you for all of your great suggestions and comments.

Sincerely,

Martha

Testing Testing

Dear Friends,

The testing is going great! I have asked several artists to assist me with the performance evaluations. Here are some photos of the work in progress. As you can see, we are looking closely the performance on all surface types. It has been a lot of fun and very messy work. We will have another product update soon. In the mean time, keep painting!

Sincerely,

Martha
